A short ride from Ancora Cortina takes you to Bai de Dones, where a chairlift (or a hike) leads to Rifugio Scoiattoli. From there, follow the open-air museum trail through WWI trenches, ruins and views. This area, once a battlefield, now offers calm paths with wide views of the Tofane and Dolomitic landscapes. These mountains also serve as Cortina’s most iconic rock-climbing site. End your walk with a traditional lunch at one of the mountain huts in the area.
